St. Luke’s Anglican Church

St. Luke’s Anglican Church in Ottawa has long put its mission into practice. In order ‘to serve all without exception’  they began providing meals from their basement in the 1980s, a service that has since evolved into St. Luke’s Table, a ministry of the Anglican Diocese. Not long afterward, even more dramatic changes took place above ground. To better serve their community, they replaced their church hall with a 44-unit supportive-housing building, which also provides a revenue stream from its underground parking garage.  And more recently, St. Luke’s undertook an extensive retrofit of the church nave, to maximize its use for traditional worship and community functions.
